Its fares are rich in vitamins and healthy fats such as vegetables, grains, fruits, and nuts. Instead of meat, fish is the main source of fat. Fish fat is good for the heart and is easily metabolized. Therefore, it does not contribute to weight gain. The Mediterranean diet has the reputation of being the most mouth-watering way of losing weight.

Avid animal-lovers will probably prefer a vegetarian diet. Animal meat is totally not allowed in this diet. Only vegetables and fruits are eaten in every meal, which means that the chances of taking unsaturated fats are nil. To optimize the benefits of the nutrients and vitamins from the veggies, it is best to eat them raw. If not, grilling or boiling them is done. Frying tends to drain the veggies of its good qualities.

All diet types, of course, may still produce desired results. However, the three mentioned here have made quite a stir among fitness and health buffs.
