Fruits contain sugars also, but they are OK because the fiber contained within the fruit helps to slow down the response of the blood sugar. But watch out for fruit juice - avoid it because the fiber has been stripped out by the processing of the juice.

After people start reducing their grain intake (by reducing their consumption of bread, pasta, cereals, bagels etc) it usually follows that they start losing fat. So if you want to see results, switch from grain to fruit and vegetables as much as possible. Losing weight could become a whole lot easier for you.

Body Building Workouts, How to Exercise Your Shoulders

Some of the lifters in the gym will tell you how muscular shoulders is the greatest contribution toward the overall appearance of the upper body. Thick, round "cannon ball delts" will make your upper body appear wide and powerful. Big, full, separated, striated and capped delts will guarantee you're wide up top.

Your shoulder (or deltoid) is a 3-headed muscle that performs the function of lifting and rotating the arm. It is a large three-headed muscle group consisting of the anterior (front), medial (side) and posterior (rear) deltoid. Shoulder training involves two basic types of exercises: presses and raises.

Both a barbell and a dumbbell can be used to achieve your goal, but dumbbells are the best overall choice. The overhead press is the meat and potatoes of effective shoulder training. There isn't a single lift out there that can match the incredible shoulder-stimulating effect of a basic overhead pressing movement.

With dumbbell presses you get a greater range of motion for overall development and each shoulder is working individually maximizing the effort put out by both shoulders completely. Also, doing presses with barbells to the front overemphasizes the anterior delts and upper chest while presses behind the neck using a barbell put a lot of stress on the shoulder joint risking injury. Grab a pair of dumbbells and sit on a bench with a vertical back support. Press the dumbbells overhead until your elbows are just short of locking out, and then lower them back to shoulder level.

Next in the pecking order are side lateral raises. Side lateral raises primarily develop the medial head (side delt) of the deltoid. The anterior and posterior deltoid also comes into play in this movement as well the trapezius (to a much lesser degree). This exercise is great for capping the delts, giving them a nice round look from the front. Stand with your knees slightly bent and hold a pair of dumbbells with your palms facing inward. With a slight bend in your arms, raise the dumbbells up to shoulder level and then lower them back to the starting position. And it is, but you should still go heavy if you are trying to build size, side lateral raises are an effective mass builder as well.

When it comes to training your shoulders for maximum size and strength, a basic overhead press and a side lateral raise is all you need. It's very important to realize that the shoulders are stimulated on virtually every single upper body exercise that you perform and therefore they do not require a lot of direct work. Most people perform far too much work on their shoulders and actually hinder their gains as a result. Because of this I typically do not recommend that you perform isolation exercises for the anterior and posterior heads. Don't forget that the key to massive shoulders is quality, not quantity.

This is a sample shoulder routine that you can use: Seated Overhead Dumbbell Press - 2 sets of 5-7 reps. Standing Dumbbell Side Laterals - 1-2 sets of 10-12 reps.

Big, full, separated, striated and capped delts will guarantee you're wide up top. Follow these basic guidelines for technique and exercise choices. All sets should be taken to complete muscular failure where no additional reps can be completed using proper form. Week after week you'll notice how your shoulders grow, i guarantee that.

When we get tired of the raisins we can add cranberries to cakes or muffins. We have fresh strawberries and these are high in Vitamin C. Yet there are other berry types! Not all berries are for consumption as some can be harmful and fatal. We may come across wild berries, mushrooms and other unknown varieties. It is worth knowing what is poisonous before you pick and eat. Mushrooms may look appealing; they are a fungus and some mushrooms can be dangerous.

In our stores the small button mushrooms are most common and safe. They're mostly water, while shitake mushrooms are known to be very health supporting. Berries are nutritious and supply various levels of protective antioxidants. Blueberries have an abundance of antioxidants to reduce our rate of ageing and help ward away the development of disease. Cranberries are used therapeutically for urinary tract infections. A susceptibility to kidney stones can be lessened by taking cranberry juice. All in all berries are high in fibre, minerals and vitamins relative to various other fruits. Although berries may be minor juicy fragile ball-like fruits, they do pack a punch for nutritional health.
