Fat Loss - What Works And What Doesn't in Langhorne

By Dan Solaris

The huge demand for health products and exercise equipment is evidence that an increasing percentage of people around the world are becoming concerned with fat loss and getting in shape. Companies that sell protein pills and ab machines are making a killing because more and more folks are becoming overweight.

As the culture of fast-food spreads across the globe, an increasing number of people are falling prey to the temptations of high-calorie junk food. Obesity is on the rise and together with it other diet-related diseases like diabetes and high-blood pressure.

Fad diets earn a huge following because in increasing number of folks are desperate to lose fat. Sadly, most people find out the effects of dieting are only temporary and they fall off the wagon and gain back the weight they lost after a few months.

Life these days require us to spend most of our waking hours in our office chair, behind the wheel or browsing the internet. These activities don't actually require much energy and so the excess calories that we get from food eventually find their way into our love-handles and potbellies.

The only real way to lose weight is to burn more calories than we consume each day. This lets our body access the soft, jiggly energy stores around our midsection- thereby reducing it. Constant exercise is the most effective way of burning excess body fat- giving us a more attractive physique and boosting our immune system along the way.

Attempting to lose weight by dieting alone isn't really smart because restricting the amount of food we eat makes us feel deprived. Self-deprivation can lead us to binge the next time we see a bucket of extra-crispy chicken or a plate of hot chili cheese fries.

It's actually smarter to eat sparingly several times throughout the day than skipping meals. Foregoing breakfast for example, causes us to try to make-up for it during lunch or dinner- resulting in a bigger calorie intake.

Having healthy eating habits and sticking to regular fat-burning exercises (cardio and strength training) will help speed-up fat loss and keep metabolism high. Raising the body's metabolic rate means less calories transformed to fat.

Bucks County Personal Trainer On Quick Abs - What You Eat and What You Do

By Jose Loni

The way to getting quick abs is through a balanced combination of food and workouts. Instead of fad diets and the latest exercise wonder equipment, the food choices we make and the type of workout we do will result in great-looking abs.

What you eat and what you do determine how quick you get your abs. When you eat a balanced diet and maintain daily physical activity to speed up your metabolism, your body will quickly melt away body fat and reveal great-looking abs.

The food we choose to consume contributes to the quality of fuel our body burns. Eating lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and fibrous foods allow our body to burn energy more efficiently, whereas, sugary, fatty foods overload our systems. As a result, not all the calories are burnt off and now remain in our body as fat.

Eating several meals throughout the day will allow us to control our calories and help keep our energy level even throughout the day. In addition, we allow our body to burn the calories we eat and when the body needs more energy, it will burn the excess body fat.

Regular exercise is a great way to kick-start the body's metabolism. By scheduling regular exercise sessions, the body will be made to burn more calories during the exercise session as well as help make the body more efficient at burning fat.

Workouts that involve almost the whole body like lunges, pushups, squats and chin ups are the best ones to do because they use up more energy when executed properly as compared to just doing leg lifts or bicep curls.

Exercising with greater intensity with weights and interval training forces the body to really exert and function with lower oxygen present in the muscles. When this occurs, the body is forced to replenish the muscles with oxygen after the activity. It continues to repair and remove waste from the muscles, even after the activity is done. As a result, the body ends up burning fat all day and night.

Therefore, a balance of healthy food choices and smart workouts really do combine to the loss of body fat resulting in getting quick, great-looking abs.

Facts about whey, soy, egg and casein protein

By Henrick Scofers

Protein is an essential nutrient for the body, especially for the muscles. The general recommendation is an intake of around .3 grams of protein for each pound a person weighs. For athletes and bodybuilders, though, the requirement is higher because the body is working harder and demands more. The recommendation jumps from .3 to 1.25 grams for this group of people.

Not only is the amount of protein important, but the source also matters. For the average person, diet alone is sufficient to get the needed amount, but for those who need more than the average amount, there are protein supplements that are necessary. There are 4 different types of protein that can be used. Each reacts differently and so the type should be chosen carefully.

These four sources used in most protein supplements are egg, whey, soy and casein. There are protein supplements which use only one type, but it is more common to have two of these proteins in a single supplement.

Whey protein comes from milk. It is the most common choice in protein supplements. This type of protein is made up of nonessential and essential amino acids. Essential amino acids are not made by the body naturally and must come through diet. The body takes well to whey protein and will use it easily and safely. The only concern about whey protein is that it is not safe for those with a milk allergy or who are lactose intolerant. Concentrated whey protein is most often preferred as it more available and less expensive. Concentrated forms contain anywhere from 30 to 85% protein. The isolate forms will have about 90%, but are more expensive and harder to find. Whey protein helps to boost the immune system, provides amino acids and helps for quick muscle recovery and prevents muscle breakdown.

Soy protein is derived from soy flour. This is the most complete vegetable protein known and like whey protein, there are isolates and concentrated forms available; isolates are higher in protein but more expensive. Easily digestible, soy protein is suitable for everyone except for the small number of people who are allergic to soy. Soy protein can be added to foods easily and is beneficial in lowering blood cholesterol.

Egg protein comes from egg whites. It is fat free and very high in protein. It contains all the essential amino acids and is completely absorbed by the body. It is considered the best protein source. It should not be used by people who have egg allergies.

Casein is another protein derived from milk. Casein protein is digested more slowly than whey, which makes it a protein often combined with other, more quickly digester proteins. Casein protein is ideal for adding to pre-workout meals or before bed. As with whey protein, those with milk allergies should avoid casein protein.

Read the labels of those protein supplements to make sure you're purchasing one that you'll tolerate and will give you the protein you need for your exercise regimen. Keep the qualities of each protein source in mind as you choose protein supplements.

By Jose Loni

Work your muscles, lose fat and get rock hard abs. Everyday, we always see a new machine or ab exercise promising rock hard abs. Well, by increasing your muscle mass through weight training, you will lose fat and get rock hard abs!

New exercises, ab machines or diets all promise the same thing- fantastic abs. It's incredible how they market the new machines and exercises to make you believe that if you use their product, you will look like the over-muscled bodybuilder or the super trim fitness model that they have demonstrating the exercises.

Here's the reality check! You will not look like those fitness models in a few weeks of using their products.

Approach it from another way, put on more muscle, increase your metabolism and burn fat so you will have overall less fat and rock hard abs!

Resistance training has a way of making the muscles rapidly adapt to the increased demand of the exercise. As the intensity of the activity increases, the muscles must also work harder, which requires more energy to do the increased muscle activity. The body needs to supply the muscles with the energy to carry out its activity.

The body will go and look for sources of energy to supply the muscles. The body will consume the food we eat and use that first. Then when more energy is required, the body will take the stored body fat and convert that into fuel for the muscles to use.

When we exercise, the body's muscles are worked at a great intensity, which decreases the oxygen in the muscles. The moment the body has a chance to bring oxygen to the muscles, it will work hard to try to repair, replenish and remove waste products from the muscles.

This repair and nourishment of the muscles can occur throughout the day and causes the body to burn more calories even after the exercise session is over. As a result, the body becomes a fat burning machine, even when it is not exercising.

Training causes the muscles to increase in size, which will proportionally increase the overall muscle activity and burn more fat.

More muscle means less fat, which inevitably means rock hard abs. It is really that simple! Train hard and lose the fat.

Quick Abs - Langhorne Training On Choosing the Right Foods

By Jose Loni

Calories in and calories out for quick abs. Let's keep it simple, we need to watch what we eat, with regards to the quality of foods we eat as well as how much we eat and we have to exercise to burn more calories.

Choosing the right foods means choosing lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and fibrous foods. Choosing the right foods also means staying away from fatty, fried, fast foods and sugary snacks and pop. The latter are so calorie-laden that the body won't be able to use up all the calories taken in resulting in their conversion to fat, which are ultimately stored in the stomach area.

Healthy, quality foods are more compatible with our body. These foods are more easily converted to useful energy to fuel our activities. Because they're all used up, they won't be converted and stored as fat, usually in our stomach area.

Eating 5-6 small meals per day will help you maintain your energy throughout the day and keep your blood sugar from fluctuating too much. By eating smaller meals, we are better able to control the calories we take in and help our body to burn more fat.

When regular workouts are incorporated into our lives, the body will rev up its metabolism and start burning calories more efficiently everyday.

Add interval and weight training to the mix to push our body to its maximum capacity to work. The muscles now have to work harder which means it has to use up more energy to fix, restock and remove waste products they accumulated from the training. This effect can last awhile resulting in more calories expended.

One important aspect of watching calories is that we don't lower our calories too much. If the body senses the calories in is too low, it will go into starvation mode, which will store fat and lower the metabolism. So it is important to eat and do more caloric expenditure than you take in.

The combined efforts of daily workouts and choosing the right foods are essential to getting quick, nice-looking abs. When we choose the right foods and complement that with workouts, we are choosing the best way to getting quick abs.

Bucks County Experts on Flatter Abs - Nutrition Counts

By Dan Solaris

In North America and western European countries right now, over half of the general populace is overweight. This can be attributed to two things: the proliferation of high-calorie food readily available around the clock and the sedentary lifestyles most people have.

The most common mistake dieters make is to try to lose weight and get flatter abs by drastically changing their eating habits, trying to cut down calorie intake. Although this method will initially result in weight-loss, not all of it can be attributed to lost body fat.

Our bodies react to hunger by trying to conserve energy stores. It does this by slowing down the rate of metabolism and this means lesser calories in the form of fat burned. Our body turns to glycogen stored in our muscle tissue and liver for energy instead. This eventually leads to loss of muscle tissue and that's not a good thing.

Muscles help elevate the body's metabolic rate by expending calories. We lower our body's ability to burn calories then when we experience loss of muscle tissue. A lower metabolic rate therefore will mean our body has more of a tendency to store excess calories from the food we eat, converting it into body fat.

Another thing about muscle tissue is it's much heavier per volume than fat. This fact makes it easy to be misled into thinking we've lost a significant amount of body fat when it's actually muscle we've lost by cutting back on calories and skipping meals.

Having a smart diet- eating the right foods instead of eating less will be a much more effective way of getting flatter abs. Also, depriving oneself of proper food consumption can lead to over-indulging on the next scrumptious meal that comes along- resulting in excess calories.

Aside from healthy eating habits like avoiding empty calories and switching to healthier snacks to munch on, flatter abs can also be gained through proper exercise. Exercises that push the cardiovascular system to work at intense levels have been proven to burn the most calories in the least amount of time.

Adding muscle-building exercises to a workout regimen of intense cardiovascular exercise will not only result in a more attractive physique, but will improve metabolism as well. Always keep in mind that a higher metabolism means it's easier to burn-off excess calories and prevent the retention of body fat.

Trends in Smart Lipo

By Art Gib

Liposuction has changed greatly over the years. At one time, liposuction was a rather barbaric procedure. When the procedure was initially performed, it was done with scalpels. The scalpels would turn inside of the body and actually scrape the fat away. People would lose fat, but they would also lose other things, like blood. The procedure did not make it very far.

But it wasn't until 1982 that the modern liposuction as we know today burst on to the scene. The French physician, Dr. Yves-Gerard Illouz, presented the "Illouz Method." Dr. Illouz's method injected a sterile fluid known as lidocane into fatty tissue, thus making it more malleable and then using a surgical cannula and a high volume suction device to remove the fat.

This has all come about because of the great strides liposuction has made in the last few decades. By understanding the modern history of the procedure, people are more apt to also understand why people's view of the procedure has changed as well.

The wet technique was introduced and it made the surgery much safer. It cut down on the amount of bleeding, and also made the recovery time much shorter. Basically, the cannula no longer attacked dry areas of fat. Instead, a saline solution was applied to the fat in order to moisturize the fat and make it safer to remove. It allowed the process to go much smoother than it had in the past.

This method helped people lose fat, but it also had a lot of risks associated with it. There was a great deal of blood loss, and it became apparent that a different method was going to have to be developed if it was going to be a widespread procedure. Most people were not willing to put up with the pain, let alone the great risk.

Finally, a major breakthrough in the process occurred. Scalpels were replaced by the cannula. It took several years to perfect the cannula technique, and by the mid 1980s, surgeons had come up with a technique they were fairly comfortable with.

In addition, laser liposuction has become an option as well. With laser liposuction, there are even fewer complications because of the gentle nature of the procedure. Unlike traditional liposuction, laser lipo melts the fat away without the ramming associated with liposuction.

Still, it was not enough. Even though there were fewer risks, it was still not as safe as the medical community wanted it to be. There were deaths associated with liposuction, and there were other problems as well. The community worked hard to find a solution that would present more benefits and fewer risks.

Bucks County Opinions On Free Online Ab Workouts - Why You Tube May Not Be The Best Answer

By Jose Loni

Information is the key, when it comes to free online ab workouts. You Tube and paid programming are great but you have to know some basic principles to see if the exercises shown or the product being sold will work. You have to know that spot reducing does not work and that dieting and exercising to increase your metabolism will help your body burn fat.

So for You Tube to be properly useful, we need to know basic health and exercise principles that can guide us to discern which videos are safe and effective, and which ones are bogus and could possibly injure us. We need to know that proper nutrition and exercise are key factors in raising metabolism enough to burn fat.

Paid videos basically sell you a product. The consumer must be very aware if the exercises and content of the video is valid or whether or not it is safe. Not all paid videos offer valid training. Some are just trying to sell their ineffective product by showing beautiful, fit and healthy models and linking them to the product.

Paid sites hire perfect-looking models to look good so as to entice customers to buy, leading potential customers to mistakenly believe that these perfect models got that way because of the products they're selling. We need to thoroughly research these sites so we don't get taken in.

Dieting and watching what we eat will help keep more fat from being put on our belly and at the same time help our body burn the excess fat. Most of us eat too many fatty fast foods, sodas, burgers etc, which are really high in calories and usually don't get fully consumed by the body, so it gets stored as fat.

By spacing out our meals throughout the day and eating smaller portion meals, our body will be better able to maintain our energy level and burn calories easier. When the body needs more calories, it will start to burn the excess body fat to fuel the body's physical activities.

Physical exercises that make us use multiple muscle groups and training with intervals are sure ways to increase the body's metabolism. The intense training will make the body's metabolism work harder and keep burning fat throughout the day, replenishing and repairing the muscles to get it ready for the next bout of physical activity.

Free videos or paid videos, you have to be able to discern which is good and which is crap. Knowing that spot reduction doesn't work and healthy eating and exercising to jumpstart metabolism are the basic keys to effective workouts. If you find a video that has that, then it will give you the rock hard abs that you want!

Detox Your Body With A Natural Herbal Remedy

By Ron C George

Some people know it as a mere weed but many others depend on the herb for healing. You are probably aware of the existence of this week, which with its soft and mild herbal action can detox your body and be equally effective in the management of various healthy-related problems. It is dandelion. Dandelion has so many vitamins and minerals that you could use it to nourish your body the same way you use a multi-vitamin/mineral supplement.

It contains several essential vitamins and nutrients like vitamins A, C and K, Choline, B-complex, iron, silicon, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, phosphorus and copper. It is normal for health aficionados to opt for the leaves to make a healthy salad.

Dandelion can detox the liver and this results in restoration of normalcy in any hormonal disturbance. This is because the liver metabolizes hormones. Once your liver is in good health, you can cope with menopausal symptoms, PMS and irregularity of menstrual cycles.

Dandelion is a diuretic so it leads to weight loss. Its mode of action does not have anything to do with the intrinsic reason for weight gain, but it can help in effective weight loss without exhausting the critical potassium level of the body.

So it turns out that dandelion could realistically deal with the underlying issue of weight gain if it is related to poor digestion. It helps in bowel movement with the ability of enhancing bile production from the gall bladder. If you are thinking of using it for this, take it for a few months to perk up your gall bladder and liver but the intake ought to be brought down. This weed energizes some natural actions and revitalizes many secretions of the digestive system like in indigestion. It retrains your digestive organs without you having to go through much effort. Some people have trouble digesting fat due to insufficient bile but dandelion will come to the rescue again.

There are certain conditions which warn you against using dandelion to detox, and they include allergy to the ingredient or inflammation of the gall bladder, intestinal blockage or obstruction in the bile duct. The usual recommended dose for adults is 250 to 500 mg three times a day with meals. It is always advisable to consult your doctor before you start with a new supplement. Nature has many ways to keep us healthy.

Dr Perricone's 10 Super Foods

By Helen Reese

How to look 10 years younger in 10 days as promoted on the Oprah show is generating a great deal of interest. The show was amazing in it's simplicity by focusing on eating commonly known foods. The benefits gained from eating healthy foods are often overlooked. According to Dr. Nicholas Perricone, certain foods help you look younger! According to Dr. Perricone and Dr. Oz eating "super foods" is easy. Oprah Winfrey did it. She wanted to look 10 years younger in 10 days and decided to try it.

So, what are these Super foods? And are they affordable and easy to find? The answer is yes to both. Each of the super foods is moderately priced and moderately common and some can even be found in powder or pill form which makes things even easier. The following is a list of the super foods shown on the Oprah show that are supposed to make you look 10 years younger in 10 days.

1) The "Allium Family" - Garlic, scallions, shallots onions, and leeks, etc are great for your health. All help the liver get rid of carcinogens. All of the allium foods are easy to incorporate into your diet. In my opinion, garlic is the most tasty and versatile. We go through many bulbs per week in our house. These foods are inexpensive and very easy to find.

2) Barley - Barley is an old-fashioned staple food. This grain can be used in many ways including as a breakfast cereal, as a rice or other starch substitute and in stews and soups. Barley is also high in fiber which helps manage and metabolize cholesterol, fats, and carbohydrates. . Barley is quite inexpensive and easy to locate.

3. Acai fruit - This little berry is one of the most nutritious, powerful and hyped foods in the world. It can often be found in juice form in natural food stores. Prior to the Oprah Show I had never heard of the acai berry. I will check at my local natural food store to find out about availability and pricing.

4) Green Foods - We all know to eat our spinach. Green Foods can also help manage cholesterol and blood pressure. Green foods like wheat and barley grasses can be bought in powder, tablet or juice form, and offer greater levels of nutrients than green leafy vegetables. The powder or the tablet form would be extremely easy to add to my daily food intake. Greens are easy to find and relatively inexpensive

5) Buckwheat: Seed & Grain - Buckwheat is loaded with protein. It also stabilizes blood sugars and is high in amino acids. Buckwheat is inexpensive and very easy to find. It does have an acquired taste though and is my least favorite of the super foods intended to make you look 10 years younger in 10 days..

6. Yogurt and Kefir - These cultured foods contain healthful bacteria that aid immune function. They both contain calcium which helps burn fat helps burn fat. Try using them as a base for a smoothie or with fresh fruit. Kefir is a cultured, enzyme-rich food filled with friendly micro-organisms that help balance your "inner ecosystem." More therapeutic and nutritious than yogurt, Kefir supplies a complete protein, essential minerals, and essential B vitamins. Kefir is used to restore the inner eco-system after drug therapy. Yogurt is easy to find and inexpensive. Kefir is less easy to find and slightly more expensive.

7. Nuts & Seeds - Walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, macadamia and pistachio nuts contain Omega 3 fats, which are great for your heart. Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds are healthiest. Nuts are easy to find and are moderately inexpensive. I use 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds in a number of different dishes I make for my family. Sesame seeds are the best when they are slightly toasted. Toast sesame seeds over low heat in a dry frying pan for about 2 minutes.

8) Beans & Lentils - You can reduce your cholesterol while beefing up on folic acid, antioxidants, and potassium. Try kidney, pinto, chickpeas, black, navy, soybeans, peas and/or lentils. Beans and lentils might be the easiest to enjoy of all of the super foods. Hummous adds two super foods together, namely chickpeas and garlic. The options availablewithin this grouping of foods is endless. Try a nice chilled bean salad for supper. Beans are cheap and easy to find.

9. Hot Peppers - Both bell peppers and chili peppers contain antioxidants and have twice the Vitamin C as citrus fruit. Best yet, they work as great fat burners. In moderation hot peppers had a delightful zing to most dishes. Bell peppers are a great addition to most dishes or salads.

10. Sprouts - There are numerous varieties of sprouts. The most common are bean sprouts and alfalfa sprouts. They're a great source of both Vitamin C and protein.. Try adding them to any dish and your immune system will get a turbo boost. These are both inexpensive and easy to find although be sure to wash them well. The easiest and least expensive way to get spouts is to sprout your own from any type of bean.

Use Eternal RezV To Lose Weight Fast

By Dennis Winn

Resveratrol has now been featured in many places including the media and a variety of other sources, as well.

Even television shows are picking up on this great discovery and it has been prominently featured on shows like Oprah because of the great benefits.

Resveratrol was first investigated on television about 17 years ago on the show, 60 Minutes, where it was looked into why the French were able to stay so thin despite a diet high in foods like cheese. Red wine, in particular, was shown to show a very large role. As it has been found today, red wine is a huge source of resveratrol.

There have been many medical studies done on resveratrol. There was one particular study done with resveratrol that stands out. Using two mice, both mice were given a high carb diet. However, the difference was that one mouse got a carb diet that also came with a little bit of resveratrol while the other mouse received no resveratrol at all.

After a while, the weights of the two mice were taken and it was found that the mouse that had gotten the resveratrol supplement was 30% thinner than the other mouse despite having the same lifestyle and diet!

Our bodies can only absorb about 40-50% of the nutrients we eat. So, the rest of the food ends up being stored in fat cells for many years at a time. Often, this excess turns into toxins.

Resveratrol is an anti-oxidant and so it is able to get rid of these toxins in our bodies and make us healthy and thin again. Even after only a short time of use, resveratrol can have these great effects.

If you are interested in getting positive effects from resveratrol, you should consider a resveratrol supplement like Eternal RezV. At the time of this writing, Eternal RezV is even being offered as a free trial so you can give it a shot and see the results before having to spend a dime on it!

How to Lose 5 Lbs in 7 Days With Negative Calorie Foods

By Xylene Belita

Maybe you are now wondering: "What are negative calorie foods?". So, what is the negative calorie food all about? Well, there is no such thing as a negative calorie food, since the calorie as a unit of heat cannot be negative. But when you hear people talk about negative calorie foods, it only means that the calorie level of the food is so low that it requires more energy to eat and digest it than how much calorie it contains. Negative calorie foods are also known as fat burning foods or fat fighting foods.

Celery is an example of a negative calorie food. It takes energy from the body for digestion, because it does not contain enough calories. Cold water also has a negative calorie. In fact, water has no calories at all but when you drink cold water, the body takes more energy to bring it up to body temperature. Everytime we drink a glass of cold water we burn up a little more calories and lose a little weight. But foods like this should be used wisely and should be taken in moderation.

People who are most attracted to negative calorie foods are anorexics. Negative calorie foods, if taken in excess would result in starvation and nutritional deficiencies. The calories used to burn negative calorie foods will be taken from the body's muscle mass, and this will be really dangerous to your health.

It is more healthy to use a negative calorie diet by fasting or detox. You can do this type of detox diet right after the Christmas holidays or Thanksgiving or after eating so many rich foods. You can do your negative calorie diet for three days or so. It is an excellent way to clean out your body's system. However, you should still get a doctor's advice before starting this type of diet plan.

Here are some important pointers to consider when on a negative calorie detox diet:

1. Never eat one type of food in huge amount, particularly fruits. Some fruits contain substances that are bad to your body if you eat too much of it. For example, grapefruit and pineapple can damage your stomach lining. Other foods can cause diarrhea or burden your liver. It is better to eat all the different foods in small quantities.

Some examples of negative calorie fruits are: Apples, Blueberries, Cantaloupes, Cranberries, Grapefruit, Papayas, Pineapples, Prunes, Raspberries, Strawberries and Tangerines.

2. Do not spend all your day eating. You will become bloated and feel sick. Make at least four or five salad meals every day, and let your digestive system rest in between.

6 Killer Tips to Get Rid of Ugly Belly Fat for Life

By Thong M. Dao

If you are like many people who are trying to lose weight, you have probably tried diet after diet only to find out that the diet you are currently on is not helping your fat loss plans. The reason for this might be that you are using fad diets and weight loss programs that do damage to the body instead of helping it achieve its ideal weight. If you want to lose fat and stay healthy follow the following tips to help you achieve your goal.

1. Eat only if you're hungry. Make certain to consume a glass of water first to find out whether you truly are hungry or thirsty. A lot of folks have the inclination to eat whenever they see foods. This does not mean they're hungry; they merely wish to have them. Do not eat whatever you are offered unless you actually are hungry. When you feel you must have it out of being polite, simply nibble, do not consume a meal.

2. Veggies make great snacks. They can get you through the hunger pangs if you are having them. Carrots are great because they satisfy hunger and they are packed with nutrients.

3. Try to stick to black tea and coffee. Black tea or coffee can actually be good for you. But personally I would like to recommend tea rather than coffee. The caffeine in the coffee is not really good for you because it can make you irritable.

4. Make certain to burn off those extra energy by the end of the week. When you feel that you've eaten more energy than you should have within the week, this occurs you know, then be sure that you work away these additional energy by the end of the week.

5. Do not skip meals. The worst thing you can do while watching you diet is skip a meal. It has just the opposite effect of what you want. You need to have at least four regular meals every day.

6. Nothing more than an egg yolk a day. Yolks are not such a bright idea. It would be best to reduce your intake of egg yolks to maybe three in a week. But for those of you die hard egg fans, you may have up to one a day but nothing more than that.

Can You Trust the Claims About Resveratrol Benefits?

By Michel D. Guillenschmidtz

No doubt you've heard claims like this before, haven't you? Whenever a new supplement or natural food source comes on the market, we're told that, finally, we've found the key to everlasting life and health.

Maybe you're like me? Have you totally swallowed other promises hook line and sinker and gone out and purchased massive amounts of supplements that promised to be the holy grail for your mind and body.

Some of them have no doubt been beneficial to you. I know that a fair number of supplements I take on a daily basis definitely help improve my life -- and probably even extend it. But for each of them that works, there's another one right behind it that doesn't.

Does this sound familiar? So when the news first broke about resveratrol and it's supposed fountain-of-youth qualities, I naturally got excited and wanted to rush out and buy resveratrol, but I also tried deliberately to tone down my enthusiasm. I guess this is a side effect of having been burned before.

But we need to make a distinction between resveratrol and the host of other supplements that have been discussed in the past. You can find actual studies that have been done scientifically that lend credence to the claims.

In fact, the research is so promising, and apparently so convincing, that even major U.S. the big pharmaceutical companies are starting to climb on this.

So can we trust what we're hearing about resveratrol? Just because I'm not a doctor, it doesn't mean I can't read the evidence, and still believe that it is.

But of course, as always, there is a caveat. Whenever anything gains a sudden popularity the way resveratrol has, you're going to find that a lot of unqualified manufacturers are going to jump on the bandwagon and start to try and supply this to a hungry public.

So it should be obvious that you need to be cautious about who supplies your resveratrol. I'm show you what I think is the very best way to find the highest quality resveratrol around at this Buy Resveratrol Supplements review page. Just click on the link to see what I mean.

And before I forget, I also want to mention that you'll also find out how to get some great resveratrol completely free. This is an awesome little trick, so definitely check out that link!)

But first, just on the off chance that you weren't aware of them, I wanted to cover some of the resveratrol benefits so that you'll understand why everyone is so excited.

Resveratrol can be as much as 50 times more powerful an antioxidant than even Vitamin C?

But all of this is just getting started. In lab tests, subjects given resveratrol performed better on all kinds of physical and mental tests -- in other words, they performed as though they were much younger. But this doesn't even begin to cover the whole story.

I think that this is probably the number one reason that people are so excited. Now, remember that were talking about a substance that occurs naturally, and that apparently stops the aging process.

I just also want to point out as a caveat that we don't have a time of long-term studies on resveratrol yet. It could just be me, but it doesn't make much sense to wait for 20 years until I start getting sick to try and keep myself healthy.

I would definitely rather work on slowing down my own bodies aging today rather than wait. I would think that down the road I'll be able to say that my decision right now was one of the smarter things I've done.

Take Your Fat Loss Results through the Roof with 7 Small Tips

By Thong M. Dao

If you are like many people who are trying to lose weight, you have probably tried diet after diet only to find out that the diet you are currently on is not helping your fat loss plans. 1. Begin your day with a clean, fresh glass of water. When you wake up in the morning, take one down. It will assist your body to get started as it will not be fighting dehydration. Besides, after you consume a glass of water you will not have to eat such a big breakfast. A glass of water triggers all the digestive fluids in your body and makes well lubricated. You are able to have your morning tea or coffee, just make sure to drink a glass of water after that. Caffeine dehydrates you and you need to ward off dehydration.

2. Have another glass of water while you are having the meal. Again this is another way of making yourself full so that you can actually rise from the table eating less but feeling full just the same. Instead of drinking it one gulp, take sips after each morsel. It will help the food to settle faster so that you get that feeling that you are full faster.

3. Consume fresh fruit and veggies that have high water content. They are foods like tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelons, kiwi, grapes - you get the idea. All of those fresh and tasty juicy fruits and vegetables are beneficial for you. They contain around 90 to 95% water, therefore you are able to have lots of these and they'll fill you up without adding the pounds.

4. Whenever you're craving a glass of juice, have fresh fruit juice rather than juice that contains man-made flavours and coloring. It's even better when you could make your own fruit juice. But make certain not to add too much sugar which adds up to the calories.

5. Boost your fibre consumption. Like I said, the body demands lots of fibre. So attempt to include in your diet as many fruits and veggies as you can.

6. Eat intelligently. The difference between man and beast is that we are driven by intelligence while beasts are driven by instinct. Don't just eat something because you feel like eating it. Ask your self whether your body really needs it.

7. Get a handle on the sweet tooth. This doesn't mean you can't have your sweets; just don't eat them as a meal. Always remember that these sweets end up adding to an area that you don't want them to add to. Don't deprive yourself either though, because then you'll eat twice as many as you should.

Food And Vitamins Cellulite Sufferers Should Take

By El Bilson

Many women are starting to look into the kinds of food and vitamins cellulite sufferers need to take. The best way to get rid of cellulite for good is through changing your lifestyle habits. The results you desire can be achieved if you just have the necessary discipline. The reduction of cellulite as well as other skin improvements can be visible in as early as eight weeks. It takes a simple health program that is done on a regular basis.

GET YOUR VITAMINS

The stress of our daily routines can really take a toll on our bodies. Because of this, we need to take multivitamins to keep us going. Multivitamins contain most of the basic vitamins our bodies need to keep us healthy. Vitamins are also required for healthy skin.

Advanced research, however, have discovered the fact that taking multivitamins is no longer necessary, except for those with certain medical conditions. This is because the food we eat everyday already contains most of the vitamins and minerals that we need. By simply eating the right kinds of food all the time, one can get all the nutrients needed by the body. This can save you money that would have otherwise been wasted on vitamins cellulite aside.

Nevertheless, the result of these studies do not negate the fact that there are specific amounts of multivitamins that our body needs each day in order to function properly. Even if you are sticking with a healthy diet, it can be hard to figure out how much of each vitamin you are consuming from food.

Our skin is very susceptible to poor diet habits. Most dermatologists suggest taking between 1 to 6 grams of Vitamin C everyday and 400 IU of natural Vitamin E. These requirements may not be reached if you just rely on the food you eat. This is where taking multivitamins come in. The vitamins cellulite sufferers need to take may vary, so it's important to consult your doctor.

FOODS FOR YOUR SKIN

You are what you eat and What you sow is what you reap are just two of the common quotes we often hear. Cellulite is often a result of eating unhealthy foods on a regular basis. Often these habits are hard to break and thus we have trouble getting rid of cellulite.

Eating the right kinds of food can result in a healthier disposition overall, not just with your skin. Health experts recommend that we eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables like apples, bananas, oranges, broccoli, celery, carrots, beans, and nuts. Foods with high contents of protein or fiber are also important for our bodies.

By taking a break from unhealthy foods, you give your body a chance to heal. Get rid of junk foods and go only for low-fat and low-calorie alternatives. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking a lot of water and fresh fruit juices. Drinking a lot of liquids helps in eliminating toxins from the body.

The Truth About Abs Promises Fat Loss - You Should Read How

By Smith Trent

I don't often write reviews, but I've made an exception in this case. I believe there is more than just hype to the well known abs program 'The Truth About Abs'. Most 'lose fat' information on the web tends to be just a lot of sales copy in front of a gimmicky product or crash diet. The reason I want you to read this whole article is so you can see that there is actually some solid information in this plan, and if followed will change your success with your get fit and stay fit endevours.

What I'm talking about is what I'm about to review for you - giving you a solid understanding about what kind of information is really required to obtain success with a fitness plan. I'm talking about a well known book written by Certified Nutrition Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Mike Geary, called "The Truth About Abs". It is often seen as a program only designed to get six pack abs. While this is the goal, for sure, what you may not have realized is that the plan WAY exceeds that goal, by providing sound fitness and nutrional information required to achieving fitness results. You also find out the most effective exercises and routines that will boost your fitness into fat burning, core strengthening territory. This combination is what will burn the fat and create a flat stomach. The book contains the following 3 general sections:

1. Introduction, important information on what it means to be lean, factors affecting your metabolism, a review of body fat percentage, training your abs, and lean vs fat body mass.

2. Effective workout plans, information about more efficient ways to exercise, what multi-joint vs single joint exercises mean, as well as a collection of total body work outs. An explanation of why your current cardio program IS NOT helping you lose weight the way you expected; and

3. Diet and Nutrition, explanation of how blood sugar and insulin affect your diet program, the Glycemic Index, and the calorie burning properties (thermic effect) of food.

The Truth About Abs training program has two parts : Interval training and Resistance and Weight training. The fitness schedules are easy to follow and are time effective. The program explains how sessions longer than 45-60 are not a good use of your time. The program calls for 3-4 sessions per week, each about 45-6- minutes.

If you really want to get your body toned and in shape, then you should easily be able to find time for this schedule. The bonus is you don't need a gym or a lot of equipment. However, Mike suggests having a set of dumb bells and an exercise ball to most effectively perform the workouts. This shouldn't be a huge investment, $30-40 at the most - way cheaper than a gym, and it means you have created your own gym right at home.

The Truth About Abs program has a specific meal plan consisting of 5-6 smaller meals, eaten every 3 hours. A great tip that Mike explains is to take your meal plan and shop for everything once per week. This makes it easy to prepare and stick with the more frequent smaller meals you need to be effective on this plan.

Beyond planned, smaller and more frequent meals The Truth About Abs explains how to calculate your daily caloric intake requirements, and use that as a guide line for what we should eat. This section is really enlightening. You can eat regular and tasty meals and still lose weight. I can assure you that this is not a salad diet. In fact, there is an entire section of this book which explains why crash diets actually cause weight gain.

The meal plans provided in the book make it easy to shop for and prepare your food. The meal plans provide more than enough food - you are unlikely to experience hunger pains - however the plans are most likely a change from your current diet, and in order to be successful you need to be disciplined with your nutrition. This will be vitally important to your success. It is clearly stated in this book that to succeed on the Truth About Abs program, you must apply BOTH the training strategies as well as the food strategies.

If you've been thinking of trying to lose weight for some time now, this is a great opportunity to make it happen. Mikes program contains so much information about how to really make your exercise and diet work together, it really is one of the most effective programs available today. You must put some effort in, but he tells you how to make it all work, in the most effective way possible.

The Fear of Food Must be Broken To Beat Obesity

By Carlene Jones

Fast weight loss is every obese person's dream diet, but when I introduce my new clients to my proven plan they panic when I tell them they must eat to succeed. This is something I actually understand. When I weighed 256 pounds and was so depressed I was worried for my safety, I found a naturopath who would run the blood tests I wanted to see if my liver was to blame. After giving her my medical and dieting history and explaining why I felt it was my liver causing the problems she agreed to let me do things my way. I thought I had convinced her. Nine months later when I had lost 136 pounds and returned for the final blood work that would prove my liver theory, she shared with me her first impression. She had written in her notes: "Patient views food as poison."

She was right. After helping so many other obese women, I have realized I was not alone. For many of us food is our greatest nemesis. We love it, but hate it. Actually, we fear it more. Even as a child I never ate any food, including good foods like apples, without guilt or fear of being judged. Many of my clients say the same thing, yet the number one reason the obese quit diets is that they just want to eat like a normal person.

The problem is that for those of us who have grown up with obesity the idea of how to eat like a normal person is outside our realm of understanding . We only know two modes of eating: dieting and overeating. The only time we seem to be able to control our eating is when on a structured diet, but that structure soon becomes a prison and we run to our other method of nutrition, the one that keeps us obese. Food has just never worked for us.

One of the first things that becomes very clear when new obese clients start my program, and what they actually all voice is: "I don't know how to eat like a regular person." When I tell them I want them to eat 1800 calories their first two weeks to find out what their true maintenance diet will look like, their eyes pop, their voices quake, and they stammer: "1800 calories, that is insane. I will gain weight." It takes me a while to convince them otherwise.

I check their food every day. The first week is always predictable. The food logs are packed with diet type foods in quantities that wouldn't satisfy a child. The calories rarely come close to the 1800. For that matter they rarely reach 1500. When I start to question the choices they actually defend the food saying they prefer it to other "real" food. After a long lecture on what we are trying to accomplish the second week is better, but it still takes a while to get them to give in to foods they feared all their lives and to eat enough to feel sated before leaving the dinner table.

I don't believe there is anyone diet that works for everyone. We all have different likes and dislikes and our bodies react to certain foods in both positive and negative ways. Some of us do better with low fat, some thrive on higher fats. Some of us are insulin resistant with some foods spiking our blood sugar while others can eat what they want. We also have different appetites that dictate if we are grazers or three meal a day type of eaters. There is no one right or wrong way to eat. Yet most obese men and women feel they have to conform to dieting standards which have always been about deprivation and obsession.

We are so distrustful of food and our own ability to manage it that it is actually harder to get the obese to eat then it is to them to starve. If I said, okay here is this liquid diet, you won't eat for six months, they would sign on in a minute, but when I say I am going to make them eat, they back off not believing they could succeed.

When I start a new client on this program, their first week proves how true the above statement is. They eat tentatively. The foods tend to come from their dieting history, the amounts minimal. I pick out these dieting foods and ask why they chose to eat them. Their answer is surprising. Not only was the food not satisfying, but oftentimes they ate food they didn't like because that is what their dieting brain told them was the only acceptable choice. Now, there are diets out there on the market that promote lots of eating choices. They work for some, but the problem is they are small amounts for the calories, and most obese men and women need bigger servings, and when they eat higher fat, sugar, or salted foods, cravings dictate that one serving is never enough. That creates more fear of food, and that fear limits viable choices in their idea of what they can and cannot eat for weight loss. I make it clear, I do not want to see those diet foods in their menu again. Panic ensues.

It takes time and effort to move into a healthy diet, one that is satisfying and can last a lifetime, but it is worth it. Anyone can be successful if they open their mind and fight the fear and guilt associated with eating. Once I convince them that they can eat real food to maintain their weight with real food, shedding the pounds is easy.

For so many years the obese have fought their inability to control their weight and take responsibility for their relationship with food. That loss of control makes food the enemy for some, and an abusive lover for others. But food is only as powerful as e make it. The obese must open their eyes to the true value of food. It is nutrition for the body. Like gasoline for a car. There is no need to fear it, there is only a need to build a solid relationship with it where we are the ones in charge.

Lose Weight And Get Healthy With Resveratrol

By Jane Louis

In the media as well as the news, resveratrol has been making a huge splash.

It has been covered extensively by the media and has been featured on shows like Oprah as a recommended supplement by Dr. Oz.

In fact, Resveratrol was looked at in some ways as many as 17 years ago when 60 Minutes featured a show that looked at the benefits of red wine on one's health. Red wine is one of the best sources of resveratrol in natural foods and drinks but of course, the effect can be compounded in supplement form.

Even clinical studies show the results of resveratrol. In one study, two mice were raised and given a high carb diet. However, one of the mice was also given a resveratrol supplement while the other one did not.

After time had passed, they were both weighed and it was found that the mouse that had received the resveratrol supplement was 30% thinner than the other mouse that had had the same life and diet except for the resveratrol supplement.

About 40-50% of the nutrients in food is asorbed by our bodies when we eat. The excess is stored in fat cells for example. This often results in toxins being present in our bodies.

Resveratrol is an anti-oxidant and so it is able to get rid of these toxins in our bodies and make us healthy and thin again. Even after only a short time of use, resveratrol can have these great effects.

For this reason, if you want to try out resveratrol for yourself and get these great health benefits, then try a resveratrol supplement like Resveratrol Ultra. At the time of this writing, Resveratrol Ultra is even being offered for free so you can try it out before spending any money on it.

Do You Know Why You Can't Ignore Bruises?

By Carolyn Cooper

We talk a great deal about bruises that appear for no apparent reason, and for almost all of us, finding a cure for this situation is simply a case of enhancing our circulatory system's well being and being a little more cautious. However, it is still necessary to keep in mind that whether they are painful or not, or whether they are big or not, bruises are still an indicator of a form of damage that our body has suffered. Even more than just the the knowledge that blood vessels are broken; however, it is essential that we remember that bruises may be pointing to something else that has gone wrong in our body.

By way of an example, easy bruising is one thing that can signify the possibility of a vascular problem, or it may also be indicative of diabetes. Diabetes causes sugar to be leeched from the blood stream which in turn causes the blood to become thicker. This thicker blood then causes the white blood cells to have a more difficult time to get to an infection in order to stop it, which can then cause a number of other complications. For this reason, if there is a history of diabetes that runs in your family, you should always be diligent in monitoring your bruises.

Easy bruising can also be a sign of a depressed immune system. When your immune system has been compromised, you'll find that it can lead to a number of opportunistic infections, viral issues and bacterial situations. You may also find that you might be seeing easy bruising due to an immune system that is responding excessively to stimuli. For instance, allergies will fall into this category, as will asthma and autoimmune diseases.

Lymphomas and blood related diseases such as leukemia can all be signified by easy bruising, as can liver disease. Bruising easily can also be a sign of bloodstream infection, systemic lupus erythematosus, as well as some nutritional deficiencies. Be aware that you should also consider the possibility of aplastic anemia, which is a disorder of the blood in which the bone marrow loses its ability to produce enough new blood cells.

This is a long list of ailments, and it is far more likely that you are looking at something that can be cured with a few specific supplements or a really good bruise treatment. However, the truth is that we cannot get away from the fact that a bruise is a sign that something has gone wrong in our bodys systems. We are given advanced warnings like this so that we can better fix them, and the more aware that you are about what you might be facing, the better off you are going to be.

If you find that you tend to be bruising more easily, it is essential that you take your concerns to your doctor; especially if you have a history of family problems in this vein. This is the only way that will help you get the help or treatment that could prove essential later on.

Top 6 Tips to Burn Fat Faster Than You Could Imagine

By Thong M. Dao

Do you want to lose fat? Have you tried different diets and failed consistently? If you answered yes to these questions, you are in good company. There are a lot of people who have been trying fat loss diets over the years and have failed. The reason they have not succeeded is that they used gimmicks and lose-weight-fast diets that do more damage than good. Here are some sensible things to keep in mind when you try to lose weight.

1. Fresh veggies are better than canned or cooked veggies. Try to have your veggies uncooked. If you cook them, you're indeed taking out nearly 50% the vitamins in them. And canned veggies also are processed and not nearly half as healthy as fresh veggies. Whenever you purchase your veggies it would be good to find out if the label states that it's pesticide free.

2. Chocolates should be treated as luxury items. Buy the good stuff and only eat them every once in a while. If you really savor each morsel, you'll experience that much more joy in eating them and they will taste even better.

3. If you can say no to alcoholic beverages please do. Alcoholic beverages are not good for you. Beer can be fattening and the rest of the alcoholic drinks may not be fattening by themselves but after a couple of swigs you will be in no position to watch your diet and your appetite too will be something to battle with.

4. Your diet should include all food groups including carbohydrates. In fact, your diet needs to be about 50 - 55% carbs. Carbs are a great source of energy. Those diets that prohibit carbohydrates are actually harming you and only making you crave them that much more. Your diet should not cause you to be deficient in anything.

5. Fats should make up 15-20% of your meal. This is really all the fat your body needs. A lot of this is going to be in your diet in the form of cream, sugar and the like.

6. Choose white meat rather than red. White meat, which includes fish and fowl, is miles better than red meat, which includes beef and pork for those trying to lose weight.

The benefits of green tea's antioxidant

By Collin James

By now you've heard about the green tea's antioxidant abilities, and how the quality of this antioxidant helps fight against dangerous diseases like cancer and heart disease. But what is an antioxidant? And why would anything that's anti-oxygen be good for you or for your bodies health?

Antioxidants themselves don't do anything to oxygen. What they do, do is fight a chemical reaction in your body called oxidation. I am sure your saying right now, wait a second - that's what causes metal to rust - I am not made of metal! Your right to say that but oxidation is the interaction between oxygen molecules and the substances they come in contact with. If this just so happens to be living tissue, then that's when disease occurs.

The harm caused by oxidation, is result of free radicals, highly reactive, unstable molecules that travel around the body wreaking havoc. Although free radicals can be generated by exposure to UV rays, toxins, cigarette smoke, microbes and other sources, the most common source is the oxygen molecule itself.

Oxygen usually travels through your body paired up with another oxygen molecule. In some cases this pairing splits into two individual oxygen molecules called singlet oxygen. When this occurs, electrons fall in short demand as there are now to many oxygen molecules. This destabilizes the molecule and in a way, throwing it off balance. In the attempt to try and fix itself it races through the body trying to find an other electron.

But singlet oxygen doesn't just wait for a spare electron to float on by. Instead, it boldly steals one from some other molecule. This destabilizes the "new" molecule which, in turn, careens off to steal an electron from yet another molecule. The process of serial "electron stealing" damages cells, tissues, organs and even entire body systems, and is believed to be a major cause of cancer, heart disease, aging and many other conditions.

What antioxidants do is fight against this constant stealing of electrons. Your inner body police, is the best way to look at it. How they work is they donate electrons to the free radicals so the urge to steel is gone. You body does produce a certain amount of antioxidants, but not nearly enough!

Among others, these include beta-carotene, vitamins C and E, the mineral selenium, and various phytochemicals such as lycopene and quercetin. But the catechins, especially EGCg, are among the most powerful and effective antioxidants of all.
